7 of 8 people found the following review helpful Funny Name, Fantastic Product, August 22, 2007 Always on the lookout for homegrown products (I'm from Louisiana), I was immediately drawn to Boudreaux's Buttpaste when my wife had our first child a little over six years ago. Just to be sure, we tried Desitin, Johnson & Johnson's and a few other brands, but none of them worked as well as Boudreaux's. Many, many doctors and almost every pharmacist I've talked to highly recommends Boudreaux's. I cannot argue with them at all. When my daughter developed a diaper rash, Boudreaux's came to the rescue. It has a wonderful scent, soothes the baby's bum, and wipes off of your hands easily. We recently had another child (a boy) and when we were given a free sample of another brand of rash cream, we accepted it, and then tossed it in our "emergency" drawer in case we were caught without any Boudreaux's. I highly recommend it. Two out of two of my chidren's rears recommend it as well! The old bottle we had listed boric acid as an ingredient. Last week we had to get a new bottle. Every time we applied the new stuff, the little guy would scream in agony. Finally I compared the ingredients in the old bottle to the new bottle. They REPLACED the boric acid with citric acid and I strongly suspect that is what caused the agony. Citric acid, while natural, seems to sting an irritated area. We have switched to Desitin. None of them work as well as Boudreaux's Butt Paste. It is hands down the best at treating diaper rash, and it is going straight to my registry for my own baby, due in June!
