We tried balmex and desitin both for a week and saw no change. We then switched to the butt paste and it cleared up right away! It has a great consistency, very smooth and not real thick and creamy, and a very surprisingly nice scent. My sons doctor even recommends this cream. Very good product that I wouldn't go without! When all other products fail, this always heals the diaper rash, no matter how bad it is. So now I use it first. Don't be alarmed by the stain on the diapers left by the light brown color of the cream.
